What our Visitors Say
We have found Stoats holiday home beautiful. The place was spotless, cosy & comfy. It accommodates all 6 of us perfectly and my niece even popped down with her children Sunday and we had lots of space. We would love to book Stoats again for next year, could you please tell me when bookings for next year start?

We had a very enjoyable few days here in this lovely bungalow.
Everything has been thought of – we really appreciated the quality furnishings and excellently equipped kitchen, and enjoyed the garden and barbecue.
Perfect too for our disabled friend – no stairs and everything easily accessible.
Looking forward to our next visit- hope it’s soon!

We have had a perfect weekend at Stoats. Perfect weather- 25o- end of Sept! Wonderful walking in the sun at Fairlight this morning. Great events at Rye Arts Festival including excellent performance of La Boheme. The are so many outdoor activities in the area – we’ll have to come back to do more! We look forward to it. Thanks for everything.

What a lovely, well-appointed house. Had a lovely few days celebrating my 50th birthday with the family. The ‘Beast from the East’ made for a particularly bracing walk to Rye with well-earned hot chocolates in the Town Centre

Our family stayed at Stoats for new Year, it was a wonderful homely and inviting place. No attention to detail was left, they even had a Christmas Tree! the Welcome Pack was delicious and Hazel and Bill communicated promptly and were very friendly. You will not be disappointed!

I thoroughly enjoyed my first visit to Stoats, last year, and was delighted to return to enjoy its warm ambience, great facilities and everything needed to make one feel at home including a measuring jug for those visitors who like to cook.
I relaxed with walks by the sea and countryside, spent time in the hide searching for my favourite water fowl (Grebe & Lapwing) and enjoyed meals at the local hostelries.
Local butchers, bakers and candlestick makers are within walking distance, another pleasure though the candlestick makers appeared to be the local pub or cafe with candles available at the Co-op!
I look forward to returning to Winchelsea Beach soon.

Great Long Weekend. Ideal location and property to get away from everything with family and pets. Just chill out or a short drive away (or long walk) something for everyone to do. Local shops were great for food and within easy walking distance. Nobody wanted to leave!

As soon as you walk in the front door of Stoats, you are enveloped in calm. The bungalow feels like a cocoon. It is very well decorated with some lovely artwork. It is light and sunny with a peaceful, sunny and secluded back garden. I was very comfortable during the month I spent there, replenishing my weary spirit. I left renewed and invigorated. It is really peaceful. The best aspect for me was that such a lovely home from home accepts dogs – so few places do, and if they do, their quality leaves much to be desired. Not so here. In addition to a very generous welcome pack of bread, butter, marmalade, bacon, sausages, wine and milk, there were treats for my dog and some toys. I look forward to my next stay.

“Can’t recommend this holiday home enough. We had the best week with our two small daughters last Summer and have already booked another stay this year.
A perfect home from home just a walk away from Winchelsea beach, with so many local attractions including Rye, Hastings, Camber Sands, Dungeness to name just a few.
Stoats is suitable and perfectly-equipped, for families, couples, groups of friends, dog owners, open water swimmers, walkers/ ramblers, runners, foodies, nature lovers, bird & wildlife watchers, kayakers/canoeists, jet-skiers, sailors, wind surfers, historians (1066 county) and archaeologists.”

What a great place to visit and relax! Especially in the sunshine!
I’ve never seen so many blackberries! A very comfortable home and a lovely area to visit. I look forward to being invited again next time I come over from Canada.

Thank You so much for a lovely break at stoats, We so enjoyed walking around the beautiful town of rye and walks around the house and along the beach. A wonderful meal at the ship. Feels as though we have been away for a week. The sort of place you start to relax in straight away. The house has everything you need, so well equipped and such a lovely Garden. So peaceful here.
